Emerging out of elements of the much loved Boathouse and The Delawares, The Amy McGarrigle Band mine a similar stream of inspiration, whilst simultaneously staking out a musical turf all of their own. Fusing interlocking guitars and a sinewy rhythm section, this isn’t quite rock music…isn’t quite folk…but weaves its web around you as you stand transfixed by the soaring voice of Amy McGarrigle. Already creating a buzz locally for their intricate but powerful live performances, this set of musical voyagers can only continue to break new ground in their quest for something fresh.
